G-valve check ball size???

Ok, Ive succeeded in launching the check ball in my grainger across the garage! I should probably be more carefull in the future, but for now I need to find another ball.

Can anyone take their grainger apart and tell me the OD of that ball?

looks like 1/4"

well I found a ball bearing that had a 0.34" OD, and fit pretty well. It seems bigger than the "stock" ball, but it fit, and works!

I'm sorry...But in my frame of mine when I read that....it was just too funny.

I once had to hit a set of spring compressors to get them off the springs...The spring went down the driveway about 30' and then the other one hit the back of the garage....Whoa was what I said...

Glad to hear you got it back together again. I opted to buy a Dawes pre built unit - that and a A/F unit just tonight. Should arrive when I'm 3,000 miles away (CA trip to see my sis next week)...
