All that money but it doesn't look like it has an intercooler unless it's a water/air built into the intake. maybe the front tank is a ice tank and not gas. Just doesn't seem like an intake intercooler for that HP level would be big enough.

Maybe he's going to be running it on straight alcohol. Some argue an intercooler isn't needed on alky.

Edit: nevermind, I looked at the detail pics of the intake manifold. It judging by it's design and the two nipples on the front of it, it may be liquid cooled.

I vote he is in at 21. What's it cost to ship a car from down under anyway:D

It might just be short for Ford Powered Mopar.

I dunno why people object to this.

Oh really? I thought it was short for "FO shizzle Pimp cAR" or something ;)

Would have been better with a new 6.1 hemi punched out to 426ci with 2 snails.

Jebus...... some people get really crazy with 4.6 mod motors. The Cobra engines are nothing to shake a stick at. I've had customers call in with those level of power engines from AU and Europe to buy parts. The engines are solid, and they really are starting to come around and become popular.

If he's running straight meth, there is no need for an intercooler. It burns so cold and so slow it's not a real issue. Especially when you're talking for a short burst. Now a street car or road race, meth or gas he better have some way of cooling.

Well it was 5-0 this and 5-0 that, coz no-one knew the trick on the modulars. Usually have to wait until cars with the new motor get cheap enough to be in the hands of the "don't care if I blow it up" crowd. Or they get widely available at the wreckers.

Holy crap that was awesome. I went and read the whole thread on the Aussie site. Internet tuning...how cool is that?

What i dont understand is why the builder felt it was necessary to make the charge air do like 230* of bends in the space of one foot where it enters the intake manifold..

Maybe he figured he better incorporate a P-trap so bad smells dont come out of the motor..

Fair point, that air box is self made so why he couldn't have the throttle body "flat" and take out about 70* of that I don't know. That whole arrangement looks clumsy.

??? ... study further, long radius /short radius 'laminar flow'... neutral cfm..
IMHO absolute genius design & packaging.

just looks like a daytona drag car, which were very popular a few years back, with a 4.6L turbo drive train. Fine by me.

Nope, still 'tarded. The radius on ALL the bends is far too tight to keep the flow laminar.

Path of the airflow. The way it looks the air enters the bottom of the intake(under the intercooler), travels up through the center (intercooler), moves the to outside and then down the runners. If he flattened the throttle body the air would slam into the intercooler fins creating a turbulent area thus reducing the rate of flow. Guess he figured he'd sooner deal with lower flow from the pressure drop in the tubing.

I still like the `famous` to me 89-91 red one from hot rod or car craft magazine back around 92-93 or so. It folded out into a poster. IMO,looked better than this one and had a mopar motor.
