I've got a junk one in the garage. If I get the ambition this week I'll take some pictures. The circuit board is encased in some sort of semirigid jelly goo stuff to protect it from the elements, but you may be able to see through it. It makes a pretty big mess when you try to take it off.

FYI I think 84 is unique and 85-87 are common

i was gonna play with one at the junk yard, but haven't had the time to right now and i'm sharing a car, so transportation is also an issue, and I don't wanna screw up the one thats on my car now.

I'm 99% sure each bank of injectors has it's own driver.

Yes there are two injector drivers in a turbo power module. One for each bank of two injectors.

does the sbec's and the smec's have the same set up or are all the injectors connected to one driver?

Since the SMEC has trouble codes for 2 injector circuits it stands to reason that there are 2 injector drivers. If there was only 1 driver than all 4 injectors would fire at the same time. I can't see that happening and the eng. still run right. BUT I may be wrong.

probably run after 3500 rpm

SMEC has 2 injector banks running 2 injectors each. The SBEC has 4 individual injector drivers each running 1 injector.

A lot of early fuel injection systems worked that way. The EFI systems on the early-mid 80's F-Body cars were batch injection. One full bank of 4 would fire, then the other bank of 4 would fire.
