How many CFM of air are moving thru a typical TD intake at 20 psi of boost?

Good question. Depends on 1 piece or 2 piece and if they are stock. I just read a great CFM article, damn, where'd my last issue of the SDAC's "Up Front" go?

Frank, you never cease to amaze me. Have you done any real-world checking of the numbers? Any idea what the BSFC of a menegon headed 2.5 with a ported 2 piece and a TU log header will be with a full 3" exhuast?

300 at the wheels with my setup at 13-14 psi sounds damn nice to me :-D

The numbers you see in the calculator are pretty typical of a motor like Reeves or even what mine should be - 2.5L, TU header, Menegon head, etc. Those numbers are inline with what Reeves made. In addition, my results have been pretty comparable to what have e-mailed me when they have used the calculator.

Reason I ask is that I am considering a water to air intercooler, but do not know how big of one I need to get a serious gain over the stocker I have been using till now. I have AC in my new Omni, so water to air is being considered. I want 20-22 psi on pump gas, all the time, and I would like to get a cooler air charge than I have been getting at 17 psi thru the stock intercooler. How big of a water to air intercooler am I gonna need? I may also run alky injection as well, but I'd like the car not to be dependant on the alky to keep from grenading.

Go with a precision turbos PT900.... call up gasket master for that. That will do you goood. I am using a PT1000 for something, and using something similar to a Geo Metro Rad to cool the charge.
