Which models came with them? There have been many DOHC cars in the local yards, but none of them have the rear bars. I thought that all of the DOHC cars should have them on there. Are they only on certain ones, or is every kid in E. Central IL running around with a sway bar from the JY on their Neon because they beat me to them first?

1995 Sport coupes, 1995-1999 ACR's, 1998-1999 R/Ts.

Thanks. No wonder I haven't found one. I seem to be seeing a lot of the 95s in the yard around here so it can't be too long.

The 2nd gen bars aren't the same are they?

Did all of the DOHC cars get the bigger front bar, or was that just the 95SCs, ARCs, and RTs too?

Thanks for the offer. However, shipping from your land would be more than what i could get both bars for down here. The local JY charges $6/ bar.

But you can't find one,

No problem, don't think shipping would be that bad, everyone thinks shipping is expensive but its not. :p

True. Now that I know what they come on it will be a lot easier though. I didn't realize that they came on the 95' cars. I bet I've walked by a few of them.

Grab the front sway bar if it has the rear sway bar, it's thicker then the stock one.

Make sure to get the bushings and brackets and hardware too. I had a 95 sport coupe that didn't have one.

Thanks guys. I hope to find one soon. When I do I will be sure to grab the front bar and all the brackets etc. off of the donor car.

With an early 94 start date, Chrysler made more 95 neons than any other model any other year.

2G bars are different.

Yes, the larger front came on cars that had rears.

I got bars from Karl, so far I only put the rear one on mine and it made a HUGE difference, well worth it. :thumb:

Wooo Drift King!! Actually it's probably still more stable than an 87 CSX. ;)

I was wondering how they are with only the rear bar added. Try any high speed lane changes?

I had a 98 Expresso with just the rear bar and it cornered like a mofo. Hell of a lot better than my SRT4 I used to have for sure.

Most 96 Sport Coupes had the rear bar too.

Actually it used to be a trick on the R/T's to put a base model front bar on to help balance the front and rear... pretty stable so far!

I'm glad to hear that. I was planning on picking up both bars and putting on just the rear first to see if it would help the balance. I'm sure that with the rear bar I will be doing quite well. I already installed the energy suspension kit all the way around and that made a big difference.

All rear bars are 16mm,standard front was 20mm,R/T's,ACR's and Sport code SDE where 22mm on front and had rear bars.Oddly base models,Im guessing 95's had no front bar,but ive never seen one without.

I had a 95 with no front sway. Had to be a manual steering car.

Oh, and to clarify, I added the rear sway to my 98 Expresso.

Id love to find a 95 SOHC manual steering 5spd car. They got over 40mpg.

They had to have done that even at 80mph on the freeway. If I'm really lagging around my 97' highline atx I can get 39.6mpgs doing 55mph while cruising on the freeway.

My 99' fully-loaded SOHC got 44 mpg going 70+ MPH. Made it from my house in Atlanta to Rockford, IL for less then $50 in gas.

Haha that 95 base model... I was able to squeak 40 MPG around town out of it. Granted it was a LOT of work to do it, but I did it twice.

The rear bar from a 2G neon is an easy swap onto any Kbased car. I have one on my Daytona circle track car.
