I'm going to be installing a GLHS rad/ic unit into my Shelby Charger very soon and am curious as to what radiator hoses I can use. Will the hoses that I have now on my SC work? Or did the GLHS have special hoses? Thanks.

The upper hose from the SC will work, but not the lower hose.

Does the lower radiator hose outlet point out straight (pointing at firewall) or does it have a '90 bend coming out (pointing toward water pump)? If it's pointing toward the water pump, you could probably trim the SC lower hose to fit.

GLHS radiators have the outlet coming straight out.

The common block daytona hose will be close but a little long. It can definately work with a cut and splice if needed. Autozone will have some splice kits that will work. I personally got a metal 1.25" coupler from McMaster Car just to make it a bit more durable.

I've been told that cutting the hose and using a piece of pipe that is a tight fit between the two ends, then hose clamping it together works too. How well I don't know, yet...I'm not at that point.:(

I just replaced the upper hose in my 85 GLH with 86 drivetrain and an 89 Rad/Int combo.

Original 86 Hose would not work. Think we went to a 87 daytona to get the correct hose

Just put an 89 TII rad/ic in my GLHT. I used a 89 TI Shadow lower radiator hose and cut about 6" out of the middle, then used a metal hose splicer from the local hardware store to reconnect it.

Watch out, 89 TI Shadow lower hoses are made to go OVER the front motor mount. This worked out fine with me, but it was tight around the electric (aftermarket) fan.
