Hey guys. I havent had any factory 86 or 87 turbo cars so ive never HAD to learn the answer to this question.

Assuming we are talking about using an 86 t1 Lancer LM.

1st question: Does this board have the right hardware on it to run the 4 wire AIS like the 87 LM's do?

2nd question: Does it have the same pinout as an 86 GLHS LM, other than ais circuits?

3rd question: Can i put a cal for an 86 GLHS into an 86 non-L-body LM and just keep the onboard 2bar map?

Thanks. :thumb:

1. I think it should since the S cars had the extra wires added for the O2.

2. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that.

3. I haven't tried it, but I don't think there is anything special about the S car LMs to prevent this from being done with a stock 86' TI LM.

well, a car with a 2-wire idle motor and a car with a 4-wire idle motor would have different LM pinouts for that reason alone.. but if the hardware for the 4-wire setup is on the board, i can just chip an 86 t1 lancer LM with an 86 GLHS cal and do a t2 conversion without sourcing a completely different lm or actually moving any of the existing pins on the LM harness connectors.

At least, thats the idea and that's what 86sees is saying is possible, i think.:o
