anyone install a Cold Air intake or a catch can on a 2.5 liter turbo?
any thoughts on this install?

On a non-intercooled engine, I would actually recommend keeping the intake setup mostly stock, only because it is hard to route a custom intake setup to draw in cooler air than the factory system does. If you're planning to upgrade to an intercooler, & raise the boost (higher boost pressure also means more air is drawn in from the turbo) a custom intake becomes more beneficial. Just remember that you will have to fabricate your own system, because no bolt-on kits exist. A K&N drop-in filter exists for your airbox, but it's a little pricy. (~$45 IIRC)

A catch can is always a good idea IMO. It's not really a performance modification per se, but by removing the oil vapor from the breather hose before it reaches your airbox or other intake duct, you can keep a lot of oil vapor from coating your intake tract & manifold. In addition, by trapping that oil before it reaches your intake ports (where it would be burned) You can probably cut down on some of the carbon deposit formations on your intake valves, combustion chambers & piston crowns, over time.
