View Full Version : 87 GLHS exterior,interior colors

I'm getting my GLHS painted and would like to paint the windshield trim,mirrors,belt molding,taillights and so on. What shade and gloss of black are they. Are they all the same? Also does anybody know the paint code for the interior. I want to redye some of the plastic pieces. Trying to get it to look as good as M Vaughn's GLHS just be a ton faster.

Did you use the spraycan or gun type? Also how did it turnout?

Are'nt the mirrors painted with the same paint as the body? I think they used a primer suitable for plastic, then sprayed them with the same paint. Thats what I had planned on.

I don't think so. I have never seen any mirrors that are as glossy as the body. I think they are more of a satin or semi-gloss finish.

Both. We use it all the time at the shop. Does a really nice looking finish.

I really like the SEM trim paint. I did all the trim on my GLH with it. All done with a spray can btw.

In this picture you can see the front bumpers, mirrors, window frames all done with SEM. The ground effects were refinished with a similar product by dupli-color.
