I have been CNC porting, rebuilding, & powder coating (Rob coats them 92spiritrt) 58mm TBs for a while now, and figured I would offer it as a service to the TM community. I start out by disassembling the whole TB, if you want it ported it will then get set up on CNC mill and ported to a true 58mm(porting can only be done to a 58mm TB). After porting, all of the components will be blasted and sent to Rob (92spiritrt) to have the TB powder coating to your color of choice. After powder coating, the TBs will be reassembled with new shaft bearings and shipped to the customer. The customer is responsible for shipping me a good core. PM me to purchase the following:

Available:

1. 46mm TB rebuilt with new shaft bearings and powder coated. $55 shipped

2. 52mm TB rebuilt with new shaft bearings and powder coated. $55 shipped

3. 58mm TB rebuilt with new shaft bearings and powder coated. $55 shipped

2. 58mm TB rebuilt with new shaft bearings, powder coated, and CNC porting. $85 shipped

Here are some pictures of one of my ported, rebuilt, coated 58mm TB

How tight of a fit is the new shaft in the new bearings? I'm leaking quite a bit of boost at the bearing and the shaft on each end.

Adam,
You might consider tig welding a lip on the end of the 58mm throttle bodies as an option, as they don't have a lip on them to keep the hose in place like the 46's & 52's.

+1 it would also help add strength to the thin wall. ive mangled a couple ported TB's already tightening up the T bolt clamps too tight...lol....

Yes, most likely. They are generally the same bolt pattern. You may have to put your sensors and throttle cam on the new one.

I dont put new shafts because the shafts dont wear. I cant see a little boost leak at the TB being a big deal because our cars are speed density now if they were mass air thats a different story. Those DSM guys are always checking for boost leaks! I guess if you wanted to you may be able to machine the TB and install seals. I would think the side with the TPS should not leak because its O-ringed. I dont know just throwing out ideas

Yeah I have a 58mm done and ready to ship. Are you from frackville PA?

Ever mess with log TBs? One of my (many) projects is a log that I'm trying to eliminate/reduce the bottle necks in, and the TB will definitely be one of them...
