This kid at work asked me to race him for slips. He's got a 305 powered firebird.....it's all junky, but he squeels tires every chance he gets.
Would I have anything to worry about with his car against mine?

I have a non-intercooled '90 Daytona with no rear seats, no A/C, Garrett T2 style turbo, '88 roller cam and 13 PSI. We're both automatics.

I have a feeling I'd destroy him.

What are you going to do with the Firebird after the race is over?

Unless you actually know what he has it's tough to say.

Also, what ARE you going to do if you get a firebird?

He showed me under his hood...looks like standard fare 305...dirty engine bay and stock aircleaner lid. The kid is a moron and is only like 17.

What will I do with a Firebird? Probably sell it or maybe use it as a DD beater.

Would it be a close enough race that if he had some minor mods, he'd beat me?

I walked my buddies daughters (he was driving) early 90's camaro. 305. with my TRUCK going up an onramp. He just lauhed and threw his hands up.

Why would you even risk your car if you have doubt??? No one on the forum knows how your car is running. This type of question is just asking for cheerleading IMHO.

I would just say throw down $500 on it... that's all his car is worth anyway :p
