Just got done making (4) aluminum L body gauge pods. They hold two 2 1/16" gauges, and fit in the center console below the ash tray, and takes the place of the map light. Six mounting holes will have to be drilled, and Some of the plastic will have to be cut from the back of the bezel for gauge clearence. I used a hack saw blade and a dremel. Here are some pictures so you can get an idea of what im talking about. Price is $34 shipped If there is alot of interest I can make more.

For $30.00 that would be worth doing! I happen to have a console piece with a dead map light too...

Nice job on the gauges Adam! I do like gauges mounted on or near the "A" pillar where I can actually read them without taking my eyes off the road. Man can't even pay for shipping when someone makes a nice and affordable product. Like the soup Nazi says, " NO SOUP FOR YOU!" :p:D

Yeah it is nice to have them on the A-pillar. when I had a L body I used this set up for a oil pressure, and coolant temp gauge and used my A-pillar for the boost and wideband.

just an idea. why dont you make your own "radio delete" type deals with holes for guages and all just like you did with these "map light delete ones your currently selling.

You can get radio deletes and then use a hole saw.

sure ya can.......if you can find one. If you have one or know someone with one, please let me know. Those things, for whatever reason, are a b@tch to find. Thats why my idea seemed like maybe a good one.

I could make them if people would want them, but I would think most guys want to keep there radio.

unless its for their "race" car. Race cars dont need radio's

Do me a favor if you don't mind and see how many they still have in stock. I've been wanting one and just never got around to ordering it. (still have kickin jams in the OMNI! LOL!)

Stuff like this is the kind of thing I'd like to see collected and hosted on this server, maybe in a archive section (though still searchable via the search box).

I fear as time goes on and stuff gets more and more buried by time, while the info is still "out there" its not easily obtained/found....

Unless helpful folks like you post up where to find it, and not everyone is that helpful!

Sorry guy! Looks like I should check my threads more.

I dont have any made at the moment, but I do have the stock to make more. Just have to find some time to make another batch, I just had a little baby boy so its hard to find time right now! I should be able to get some done with in a month or two.

Thanks Adam
