Okay, so now i'm back on the 89 Daytona, trying to get the radio to work. I have tried to run my own ground, but that was not the issue. What is happening- anytime you honk the horn, open a door, or plug anything in the cig lighter, the radios power switched drops from 12.6v to 1-2v. I also lose the memory constant feed trickle. When you close door, unplug lighter or such, radio feed is enough to turn back on. Now its worse. With my pioneer radio, it cuts on for a second, then off- not enough juice. Tested at battery, stays on and plays no prob. OK, so what the heck is shared between these circuits?>
I really need to fix this! Long drives singing aloud would net me a traffic ticket, for scaring small children and wildlife.... :p
I have a test light and DMM, so suggest away. A visual inspection of the fuse panel rear and bulkhead wiring reveal squat.

Try replacing the fuses first.

Yeah, sometimes when a fuse blows you get those weird back-feed problems...
