tranny shifting woes

I have problems shifting my 04 srt into 1,2 and reverse from time to time. It isnt always difficult. However I attempted to shift into reverse today and it WOULD NOT shift. I pulled so hard that the shifter ball came off in my hand:lol: I have never had that happen before. I had to pull a u turn cause the thing would not go into reverse. Later on in the day I got it to shift into reverse but it still shifted pretty hard. I rarely beat on the car and pretty much treat it with the utmost respect. I am the 2nd owner and from what I gather it looks the previous owner was an adult with children that took escellent care of the car. Is this the imfamous shifter bushings? any ideas?

how many miles? clutch pedal need adjusted?

63k, I dont think that its the clutch pedal. I also dont think theres anything wrong with the trans or clutch. Been shifting decent now. Sometimes it wont, I dont know why.

Might have to do with temp. Mine shifts beautifully on warm days.
