Brian Slowe won the quick 16. Tim Costello beat me out in the heads up finals b/c I am retarded and left the N2O on with the bottle off.....ran waaaay rich and bogged to a stall off the start. :banghead: And Pat Culkin won the bracket race in his "scaries".......which was an AWESOME car. :hail:

Here are my results..the ScAries was the #8 qualifier for the quick 16, made it through round one against Steve Menegon in his mid 13 second, 224k mile '05 ACR SRT4.

Round 2 I was against JT, who I almost reeled in when he bogged after spinning, but lost 12.25 to 12.0. That was a fun race..he took the lead early, then in 3rd I was gaining on him hard but just as I got to his rear bumper at about the 1000 foot mark, his Daytona cleaned up and he drove away.

I then jumped into the bracket race and went through all rounds without a loss. Won in the finals when Joe lit the red bulb in his Challenger.

I think in the end, I went about 20 passes and the ScAries never missed a beat. It went 13.0 on 18 psi, no spray. I then played with jets, timing and fuel and in the end, made three consecutive 12.2 runs with the best being 12.24 @ almost 115 mph on a 75 shot.

Track prep was fairly lousy and we were all spinning quite a bit so times for everyone were a bit lower that I saw. But man, was it fun anyway. Can't wait for next year.

what track prep???? MB and i walked the track before hand just to find out we would have been better off out on 40.....we paved that track tho, cause by the end of the night it was actually starting to work....

i qualified #13 in the 16, then lost went into the bracket, went 4 rounds w/ a DI of 12.99....#1 run was a 13.19, but cause of my .200 light, i didnt get the win light, came back fro double elim, and won the next round... 13.07 to a same 12.99....the next run out we believe i took out a ring land, cause she would do better than a 13.4x and 4th run was a 13.55...... i now have the Subaru mode complete....

I made 7 passes all in the 10's. my best was a 10.45 @ 139.29 mph.

me and Brian made it to the finals. my 10.49 was no match to his 9 second run. it was a very exciting run for me but not as exiting as when me and JT lined up for the semi finals.

to bad i was sick as a dog and could not enjoy the day like i would have like too:(

their idea of track prep was to take the pile of stones on the starting line and fling it evenly across the track.

A bunch of people are still there, the awards are tonight.

My new to me Hemi Magnum went a best of 14.4 at 96, which I'm plenty happy with. Can't wait to actually bring and race a T-M though.

I, like most, was having traction issues all day. on most runs, it felt like it was spinning until somewhere into 2nd gear.

I also had some tuning issues, which brought me way down on power. Once i got the A/F ratio back in the 11.3:1 range she was running low 11's but no better. As Rob had said, the track was icy. It wasn't a day for setting records, but we were all dealing with the same track, so the racing was still good.

I qualified 5th for the quick 16. That paired me up next to Warren Hall's CSX for the first round. I won and moved on to face Brian Slowe in round 2. That's all she wrote.

The Shadow isn't going anywhere...way too much effort in that car, but I am glad to hear the ScAries was a crowd pleaser!

Wait till it has it's shiny new pentastar on the grill. The crowd's won't be able to control themselves when they see the gleam off the front of the car through the tire smoke! :p Thanks again Alan!

Ran 2 fairly decent runs till i had problems. Best run was a 11.92@120. Im in the 120 club!!!
The 3rd run i finally got traction and banged 2nd and BOOM! Thought i busted the trans but it was the pass axle. Alan came to rescue me and pulled his belt off his waist. Wrapped it around the axle and passed it up to me. No place to buckle it in a hurry, i buckled it to the timing belt, and got the hell off the track.Back in the pits,Alan went to find an axle,as i started to disassemble.Wanting to get it off hot pavement and cool off the smoldering car, i went to idle the motor.S&*^! the buckle! durrr....belt got stuck under cam pulley.Alan was pissed! LOL!
got a new axle from pashner,THANKS! back on track for last qualifyer for quick 16.Car had no bottom end after that. 12.75@103. 1st round against crazy mark who was a whole second slower than me. Lost again in first round with a 13.50@101mph. Ruptured the line to blowoff valve. Also found it skipped a tooth on the intake cam. All done.It was late and i was tired.

Spent wednesday morning getting it fixed. Funny part was, i laughed about the axle, but a vacumm line enraged me. go figure, LOL .
I wasnt impressed with the track conditions, but apparently They were very friendly and accepting.
Good racing though!

I did a best of 14.1 X 100 mph in my Charger at SDAC at 15 PSI. I cranked it to 18 PSI for the finals and screwed up the run so I went back out to my local strip tonight to burn off the race fuel. I just returned home......13.55 @ 103 :partywoot:....on a hot lap. No too bad for a 1500 dollar turd.

OMG that was a fun race! I got out of the groove in 2nd (read: ice skating) and brought it back in in 3rd but bogged cuz the car slowed down too much. I just floored it and drove thru the bog instead of trying to clutch it and didnt see Pat in my left mirror so turned my head and saw him coming like a freight train as the boost hit like afterburner and I pulled away! Wow, I haven't had to do that much driving in a long time;) To say the track was slippery was an understatement. Despite the traction issues, I had a great time! It was the first time back on a track since the crank broke back in April. The week leading up to the drag event was like Groundhog day, waking up each morning thinking if every bolt had been torqued properly, and hoping everything was fine.

First pass down the track was an easy pass on minimum boost(11 psi). The Shadow went 10.841 @ 123.87. 2nd pass I tested the track to see what she would hold. Dialed in 22psi and ramped it in slow. Had to pedal some to keep her hooked-9.773 @ 144.75. Qualifying Rd. 1 - I felt that I could add some boost up top to give me a late hit. Threw another 3 psi to it...not good. Data showed me pedaling 6 times. The tires were hating life even well past half track, lol. Qualified #1 10.004 @ 149.60

Rd. 1- I was paired up with DJ and his awesome P-body. He was giving me some hard looks in the lanes, I think he even made gave me the thumbs down gesture, lol. DJ and I were pretty even on the tree, but the BSX had a bit too much for DJ's Shadow. 9.608 @ 146.05--12.377 @ 119.40 It was a pleasure to race a guy that drove 2200+ miles, raced every event, and drove home. A++ job DJ!!

Rd. 2- Paired me against my great friend Mike Marra and his "Contraption". 1st class race all the way. I had Mike on the tree and the car did the rest. 9.699 @ 149.81--11.152 @ 124.44. Mike was running some of his best mph's to date that day. Mike, let's get that car back to Cecil and see what she'll do!

Rd. 3- Me vs. James Reeves. James had been battling with the speed limiter coming on that day. Again another 1st class race/racer. James got me by a good bit on the tree. I was able to get by him and take the win 9.605 @ 147.37--11.004 @ 127.99. Traction was at a premium this day, James' car is a deep 10's regular. With the latest addition of bars and safety equipment, there is no signs of this car slowing down. Keep up the good work James!

Finals- #1 vs. #2 qualifiers. I knew this round was going to be a good one. Rob Pachner had been at an event recently and got some more good e.t's under his belt. Speaking with him at SDAC, it seems the car has turned a corner and is starting to come around. He was running good this day and I knew I needed to be on my game. In my pre-race prep I threw a few more psi in the controller, and tuned up the startline boost.

Me Rob
r/t - .192 .226

1000-8.488 8.873
1/4 - 9.998 10.499

Rob was on my quarter for what felt like the whole run until the last few hundred feet where I pulled away some. The big end would not hold the extra boost I threw at it, contributing to my 38+mph gain on the back half. There is no doubt that Rob's car will be deep into the 9's on a good track. I had a great time at SDAC20. Sorry for the long post! See everyone next year!!

The big end would not hold the extra boost I threw at it, contributing to my 38+mph gain on the back half. See everyone next year!!

I've been putting off reading the posts, knew I would kick myself harder for not making the trip knowing the BSX would be out, new house keeping me buisy.

Nearly 40mph from the half...un F-ing real!! Picking up 20+ has always been cool to see but that is awesome Brian, I would love to see it next year.
