Started sewing up some stuff for this CSX after getting another set of GLHS seats done. Snapped a couple pictures. This is part of the back seat and it done completey done or installed...which is why it looks loose, but it already started to look good so it needed a picture.

very nice man! to bad you dont live closer, unless you know of another method, shipping my seats to you would be just to expensive I think.

Actually I shipped a entire set of seats for $50. After these though I wont be doing anything for a while. Focusing on school, and I have a part time job that is free of stress and responsibilities that come with side work.:thumb:

Is that nos shelby fabric?

No, that is the original fabric. I have NOS fabric for the front seats, which are faded pretty badly. This material is not available anywhere.

any idea what one of the recaro's weigh's? If not, any chance you could throw one on a scale? I think its something a lot of us might be interested in knowing. Thanks.

They are lighter than most factory seats. I dont really have a scale to throw them on, sorry. I would say not anymore than 30 pounds per seat.

Making progress. Crappy pictures but whos got time for proffesional photography when your working?

new bottom with the old back to see the difference. You can see how faded the old stuff is. Pay attention to shelby placement. Amatures cant get it that good!:eyebrows:

Close to being done. Quick fitup of backrest. Insert will be redone in new fabric. All old stuff will be saved of course.

If you want an idea on how nice and soft this leather is think of a new BMW times about ten. I would compare it to a private jet but I forget that most people dont ride on these.

Are you selling sets or just redoing seats? I'd be interested in a set if you're just selling them. I love that fabric.

Redoing a set. I have no idea where to get fabric. Its only available NOS.
I would guess if I had to buy recaros and fabric and everything it would top over 3k for a pair....thats IF i was ever to do that which I wont.

What can i say, if i had to pick between spending money on two hours in a private jet or fixing my turbo dakota...

Well, lets just say its all about priorities..

Nice work on the seats.

Thanks, I forgot about that actually. There are 3-4 people running around with consol lids I made. Is that leather holding up pretty good for you?
