This isn’t like my other “For Sale” postings. I’ve got my eye on another “running” TD and as I see right now, I just don’t have the time to work on the 600, let alone the amount of money I believe it will need. I’m not feeling bad about this sale posting because it would help me purchase another running (with a ton of new-er parts) TD.

So, here it is in all it’s glory: A 1985 Dodge 600.

The “Good” about the 600 is the body/exterior is 99.9% rust free. There is one pinhead sized speck of rust on the drivers side quarter panel. Other than that spot, not other rust.

There are a few dings/dents here and there but nothing bigger than a nickel, if that.

The other “Good” point about the 600 is the mileage. It only has 46k miles on it.

Now, for the bad: It still runs, as you can see in these two videos:

Running 1 (http://www.wadsnet.com/~megadeus/Vid/Running%201a.wmv)
Running 2 (http://www.wadsnet.com/~merklefam/Vid/Running%202.wmv)

In discussions with various members of TM it has been mentioned that I actually have two problems.
#1 – Mechanical compression is low in one cylinder.
#2 – A “possible” LM problem.

The compression, from passenger side to drivers side is:

150, 90 (with oil 100), 120, 125.

So, that would need some attention after the idle/stumbling issues are fixed, which is what may be related to the LM. Russ (MiniMopar) suggested this as a “possibility” but not a 100% accurate diagnosis. It may just be a sensor, but his opinion, from watching the videos plus with me receiving a “Code 53” suggests a LM problem.

One other minor thing the 600 would need is struts and possibly shocks.

Here are some pictures of it as well as an assortment of T2 conversion parts I’ve acquired over the past 7 months. These are in my gallery here:

My Gallery of 600 pics and parts (http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=261)

All of this will be included in the sale. Everything I have related to the 600 will be included except for the boost gauge.

At one time I had an offer/quote of $1000 “just for the shell”. I had another offer of just $500 for just the car, no T2 parts.

I’m going to set the starting price at $1500, but I’m VERY open to all offers.

I really believe the 600 would be an excellent project. The body doesn’t need any attention and if you’re good with pulling motors and you have a rusted out Shelby or Daytona, this would make an excellent swap, being a light bodied car and all.

Thanks for looking and if you need to contact me you can PM me here or email at megadeus at wadsnet dot com.

Again, thanks for looking! 

On hold for a little bit. I'm thinking that I can get more $$ if it's running a little better so I'm holding this sale but not my breath...Stay tuned..
