Took the wagon up to test and tune at the local track (US-131) and ran a best of 14.33 @ 92.36 with a 60' of 2.1432
This was at 15 lbs of boost and very soft launches to keep it from spinning.
I think its got 13s in it with a little more boost and some sticky tires.

Hay Kyle, great run with the Wagon.
Can you post up the entire Time Slip(s).
I would like to look at them.

Do you have a quick run down of your mods? From what I remember you have a t2 swapped motor and IC. Is that it?

Mine has gone 14.0 on street tires and 13.5 on slicks. Anyone know of Cliff ever ran his TIII wagon?

Stock lower end
89 TII turbo w/ 2.5" swing valve
open exhaust (ran a 14.38 with magnaflow and full exhaust)
Super 60 intercooler in stock location
Relentless performance computer
stock 1 piece intake
K&N cone where air box was
Underdrive pully
15 PSI Boost
I think that is about it.

very similar to where my NY is, but I dont have full exhaust. Is the auto stock?

Thanks Kyle for posting your times....
After looking them over here is what I see.
The Hook Factor on you car right now is 6.689.
Your car is laying down from heat soak on the top end.

Here is how I figured that:
The Hook Factor is figured by taking your ET and dividing it by your 60' time.

To give you an example my son's 2001 VW GTI on 18" street tires will NOT hook up until he hits 3rd gear.
His Best 60' time is 2.385 and his best ET was 13.852 @ 109.21
His hook factor was 5.807 (REAL BAD)

Now if I look at my 1990 Mini Van (HOLATTA) my best 60' time was 1.870, that was on M & H 23.0" Slicks. My best ET was 13.250 @ 104.38 which gave me a Hook Factor of 7.085

Looking at your ET slip your car should run 14.017 in the 1/4 with no heat soak & good traction.
How I came up with that number is you take the 1/8 mile ET and multiply it by a 1.54 factor (according to NHRA).

No idea what the trurbo wagon record is.

Serious Wood I went 14.11 @ 96.05 MPH, hybrid draw thru, slicks and 18psi.

Serious Wood II will someday have the 2.5 16V with an SRT4 turbo, and 12's are the goal.

how'd you figure out the heat soak? Would the auto keep the top end down?

I do not believe that the auto trans was the problem.
I have raced many turbo auto vehicles in my time.
Here are some examples: ( all these are auto vehicles )
1989 Mini Van (RUBY)----1.932, 5.683, 8.885 @ 78.52, 13.964 @ 98.04
1989 Mini Van (BIG PSI)--1.930, -----, 9.063 @ 74.15, 14.361 @ 92.00
1989 Acclaim (PAT)------2.028, 5.869, 9.196 @ 74.00, 14.577 @ 91.64

All 3 had Garrett T2 turbos and T2 I/C, just different levels of boost.
The T2 I/C do get heat soaked very quick even with ice on them.

It was a very hot humid day so it is very possible.
Nice break down BIG PSI
I did think that the mph was a little low but I was blaming that on the auto.
I don't have a tach and this time I just let the auto do the shifting, when I decide to put a tach in it I may do my own shifting and see if I can wind it out a little.
It also needs some work on the valve body because the shifts are horrible I could take a sip off of my cold soda between gears no problem.

Ill tell you this, the stock IC's may be okay on the freeway, but they flat don't work once they get hot. I could not believe the back to back power difference when I went from my stock IC to the SRT IC in my old 89 tona. It was crazy. Last year, In my NY the intake temps (otc2000) were never the same as ambient temp and this was during normal driving! Usually 50 degrees higher. Now, with the SRT unit, it was 70 when it was 68 outside! The stock IC's are nice and easy but heat soak owns them.

yep, when I drag stock i/c'd cars I stop at the cool down hose just after the time slip shack, pop the hood, and hose down the i/c till it's ice cold. Then drive with the hood popped back to the staging lanes, shut the car off and spray it down with an alcohol/acetone/water mix in a spray bottle to keep it ice cold in between runs. It really helps with the consistency of the car. The i/c is usually just above ambient after each run.

I thought about going front mount even had one to put in there, but then I decided I wanted to Keep the A/C on the car and keep it pretty stock looking.
I put this one together just as a fun little daily driver so driveablility and comfort were taken into consideration.

My NY would have never got a FMIC, if the t2 radiator I had hadn't died. It was cheaper to add a full size radiator and FMIC. Mostly because I had EVERYTHING laying around! lol. I don't blame you one bit thou, my car would be stock IC still if the radiator hadn't sprouted a leak.

anything but possibly an l-body can run a front mount and keep the A/c

I did not want to run pipes under the core or relocate the battery. This is a daily driver budget build. I have less than $1,500 all together including purchase price in the car.

No need to run pipes under the car or relocate the battery either. What'd you pay for the S60 i/c? An XS power i/c and some 2.5" exhaust tubing is pretty cheap.

S60 was free and I did not see a good place to run pipes with the ac condensor there

2.5" pipes go by each side right at the bumper supports basically, enlarge 2 factory holes and slide them through :) the a/c condensor is actually narrower than a stock T1 rad.

Can't beat free though. How'd ya score that?

The condenser's not in here, nor is the plumbing finished, but you can see that there are holes to go through on either side and keep the ac condenser..

BUT, if i were you id plan on keeping the pipes as low as possible or you'll have to totally cut up your headlight bucket areas.
