Bruce, Peru is only like 20 minutes north of Kokomo, IN where I work. Lots of people from there that work at the plant. Does he work for Chrysler at on of the transmission plants or casting plants???

What trans did you buy? I could probably get it for you and bring it along. Get with me tomorrow and we'll see what we can work out.

Cell: (765) 437-0442
Work: (765) 854-4252

just some guy from the Diesel boards
said he'd drive down to Indianapolis, IN
Looneytuner said he'd meet him there tomorrow as he's passing through
if something doesn't work out or it's more convenient for either of you that would be great
it's a 518 4x4 rwd trans btw,

it's a 518 4x4 rwd trans btw,How about that! My trans pan rusted through some time back, and though it was patched successfully, I didn't want to trust it for the drive to SDAC. So I went looking for a 518 pan for 92-93 Dakota 4x4. I called everywhere, finally went to a trans supply house Costello told me about. They gave me a used one for $12, but it was the wrong pan. They had them new for $60. I called a couple dealers and they wanted only $50 but they didn't know if they could get them.

Anyhow, a shiny new pan is on my Dakota now. No more trans fluid leaky. :thumb:
