These are for the 90-up cars right? Do they make anything for the A520 or are we stuck using used parts.

I did a search and didn't find anything on that. Got a link?

The description says for 85 - 89 Shadow's.....so that is the older cable. The picture on Dormans website has the correct ends.

.

Not really, it was brought up before and mentioned that they are cheaply made and don't shift smoothly. Maybe Billy Loftlink or Polygon!

The dorman cables for the 523/568 are junk. End guides werent crimped properly and fell apart after 5 minutes of use.

the dorman 520/555 cables lasted maybe 2-300 miles each time before breaking. I got f'd up with them and went and found me some 20 year old factory cables and haven't broke one since.

The picture on dormans own website shows the cable already broken

LOL!!!

I've never tried the Dormans, but I recall another thread talking about how wonderfully shitty they are as Simon said. However, I might be able to find the OEM cables. I know I got the last 53" cable for the G/J body from Martin that I could find. Let me look and see if I can't find a source on the others for the 520/555 and I'll post them up.

A warning though, they are NOT cheap. Expect to pay $150 to $250 each. On the flip side, they are OEM and they are BRAND NEW.

All of the 520/555 cables are NLA from mopar. If you really want them have your dealer do a national search and see if theres still any left at dealers around the country.

OTOH if your rockin the 523/568 your still in luck. :) Nothing is showing NS1 and a few of the numbers have even been superceeded to newer ones.

Yeah, they're NS1. However, I'm not limiting my search to dealers. I managed to find two of the cables.

4504305: P,A,H CABLE, G/Shift Control Selector, 51.00" Lg.

Valley Vintage Auto Parts say they have one of these. (440) 355-4085

4504304: J,G 53.00" Lg.

I bought the last one I could find from Martin at Arizona Parts

4443500: P,A CABLE, G/Shift Control Crossover, 44.68" Lg.

I can't find any stock on these.

4443497: J,G 47.48" Lg.

Collectors Auto Supply has 27 of these in stock. I jut bought one for $210 shipped and these are NOS. (800) 414-4462

4443498: H 45.67" Lg.

I can't find any stock on these either.

Got my other supposed OEM cable today. How can I tell if it's an OEM cable?

should have a pentastar somewhere i imagine. can you compare it to your old one?

Polygon

No pentastar, but the other cable I have which is new, and is an OEM cable, has no pentastar. The old one is still on the car.

The part number stamped on it is 4446876 and I can't find it anywhere.

On my beater Spirit R/T I just bought a set of new SRT4 cables. They are a touch shorter, but have worked great for 3yrs. The price was not bad either. I think it was around $65 for the pair. I say pair because one p/n gets you both cables.

I haven't bought a set of Compass/Caliber cables yet. Not CSRT4, but regular 4cyl cars. These cars use the NVT355 which is a decendant of the 523/568. They look short like they will fit an L-body using a 523/568, however, I don't know yet. Somebody sold my test fit vehicle.

I'm going to use Morse 60 series cables, I'm sure 40 series would work but the 60 is larger and the 5/16" rod ends fit perfect on it. I just got back from SDAC and saw your work, defiantly not an issue for you to get them to work.
