So I'm looking at a 91 R/T locally. I got out of the TD game but I am thinking about getting back in with my first (whole, lol) TIII car. Guy bought it as a dealer demo with 15k on it, has 120-125k on it now. It has a new timing belt installed. The head was replaced under factory warranty at the dealer...he says it has the "redesigned head." He is including a new clutch he got some years ago...OEM clutch is still installed. Other then replacing brakes and shocks its all original. Paint is bad, headliner is bad. Some small rust. Car looks to be basically complete. Its Red.

So what do you guys think? Anything I should ask about as far as options? I don't know much about TIII stuff so any help or advice would be great.

Can't really say w/out seeing it in person, or at least some pictures.

To me.... a decent shape and running T-III Spirit should be worth around $2,500. If it's in nice shape body/paint-wise with the mileage you mention, should be $3,500 in my book. But the TM world is full of lowballers hard-up on cash, so they'd probably offer $1,400-1,900 for the car you are looking at.

Thanks for the response. Any ideas on what it might be worth or "I paid $X,XXX for mine" posts would help. I'm at a pretty low price with the fellow as it is. I just need to find out what options it has and post some pics up once I get them. He is 4 hours away and I last saw the car over a year ago when I left a note on it in a parking lot. I know the paint is bad, thats the one major issue.

make sure there's no coolant laying in the middle of the head.... and it has oil pressure happening;)

Forget about options when dickering for a price.... it's not a 440 6-pak Challenger....

How much is he asking?

Look between the spark plugs for cracks.

Hard to say without looking but anywhere from $1500-$3000.

I do not have power windows, power locks, or abs. no power windows sucks, but i can reach all 4 windows to roll them up and down from the drivers seat. but i wish i had power. but not having power IS one less thing that can fail on an R/T though :)

900? lol i know people say "we" tend low ball, but if a car is far from mint than htf cares lol. get it for as cheap as possible. Then you make it that worthy priced car since the previous owner didnt. Least its being saved and not crushed or somehting .
