A buddy and I were scouting the boneyards today and found a very cherry '92 Iroc V6 Daytona, minus the smashed front end. I do plan to go back ASAP for everything I need for the interior of my '90 Shelby (didn't have the tools or the room to carry it all in the Porsche), and my buddy was trying to convince me to swap on the bubble tailight panel as well. I know someone on here has done this, but I don't remember who it was or where to find a pic. Can anyone help me out?

I can. You will need the entire fiberglass housing, the tag plate, the lenses, the wiring harness, and the top platic cover. Technically to do it "right" you will also need the hatch lock cylinder hounsing as it is slightly longer than the older units, but not mush or very noticable. When you go to pull the wiring harness take the rear seat out, and remove the rear paltic cover panel as well as the dirvers side rear side panel. Once you do there is a distribution block right behind the driver's seat that it all plugs in to. Simply unplug from this block and pull the harness. When you convert it, just run the wiring and plug it in! It works perfect! I did this back in 2000 on my 1990 Daytona. I'll post some pictures of it.

This is an overall view of the bakc of the car. As you can see the older style rear bumber cover doesn't go up as high as the newer one, but this isn't very noticable in person. Also note the indent for the tag from the older tail light assembly. Again, it isn't that bad in person.

This is a close up of the hatch lock cylinder. I chose not to change mine out becuase it was a HUGE hassle. Once again, not that noticable in person.

This is a close up of the space made by the indent for the tag in the bumper cover vs. the newer taillights.

This is a cool (IMHO) swap for these cars, but it's so subtle that I actually have to TELL people I did it! Most don't notice it at all...

See the thread about swapping an R/T rear end onto an '89 Shelby back end!

You got a PM as well!
