So I get my new wheels on my car and Marcus86GLHS has the bright idea to take an overhead shot with the hood open so you can see the wheels and engine bay together.

I just happen to have a friend that just bought a de-militarized aircraft de-icing truck who also has a serious knack for taking excellent photos.

Here is a shot of me in his man cave waiting for him to get back from a Lowes trip. You can see the bucket of the de-iceing rig just outside the door along with his Triumph and 2 Nortons.

I'll let the pix tell the rest of the story. Was a great day! :D

I took those first 3 pics just to document everything. You'll notice a difference in the rest of these. My buddy Chris makes magic happen somehow. He says it's just his camera. :p Make sure you click on the bar to enlarge them. I tried to make them decent sized but not too big.

Thanks Bryan. I got the rims mainly for the weight reduction but they are a nice fit.

Thanks Kevin. We need some good shots of your silver charger!

Just so happens Chris stopped by here today on his way to a British car show and I got a couple pix of his Triumph. Hopefully I can get him to chime in here and put up some pix of the Norton.

His Triumph is badass.

Yeah I thought about propping it up but couldn't find anything suitable to put in there. It was driving my photographer nuts but I just told him that makes it more "authentic" LOL!

I need to get it back together and clean it up for a photo shoot. I have a few friends that want to shoot the car. One guy wanted to shoot it for a magazine spread but that never happened due to scheduling and me opening my mouth and selling my a-520 transaxle.

That is a killer looking bike. If people around here could drive, I'd have a British bike of some sort. I still may own one if I can convince Leah it needs to be parked in our living room. :p British bikes truly are works of art.

Nice work Chad. Very clean, doesn't look like it even has a door ding.

Did you get another tranny after all?
Are they 16" wheels?

Thanks Mike. I'm still rockin' the stock 525. I have a girdle and moly plate to go on it but can't bear to tear it apart now that it's running good.

Wheels are 16 inch

Thanks! Wheels are SSR Competition 16X7.5 with Kumho SPT 215/40/16 tires.

fantastic pictures Chad! the best of the best i'd say. i'd like to see some of those on the next TM.com calender.

(Chad's car won Second Place in class at SDAC-19 against some really tough competition, well earned)

Steve Eiker, and some others, have gotten a second hood prop rod, from a junkyard, and put it on the drivers side. So you have one on each side. That holds the good up very nice, and it even looks OEM. ;)

Nice picts BTW!!

Thanks Todd. I appreciate you saying that. Wasn't sure how the wheels would go over but they've always been one of my favs. They seem to look really nice in this particular size too.

Thought about doing something like that and I still might. We tried to find something to hold up that side but I just decided to go with the natural look. Do all Omni hoods lean like that or is it just a GLHS thing from being cut up?

Thanks guys for the nice compliments :thumb:

Hey Chad,
I just noticed the decal on the pass side of the hood says "GLH" instead of "GLHS". Did you do that, or was it like that when you got the car? Just curious...

Good eye Mark! That was a buffer misshap from last summer during the wetsand/buff. The car has been re-sprayed and they are positive impressions decals. I plan on getting new decals from PI when he does the new ones. The big one on the c pillar took a beating too.
