Apparently the stockers sit below the deck, the thickness of a ring, so do the aftermarket forged, IE JE's, sit at 0 deck? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure mine weren't at zero, but I have Wisecos.

do you want to calc your compression or just check valves to piston clearence (after reading JT's bent valves thread ;) )?

Thought I heard they sit .010 below deck....

Todd shall inform us if he sees this post.

Edit: I NOW see that this isn't about 2.2/2.5 engines.... my bad.

they sit well below deck. If there dished then not by much. If there the JE's that look like stockers they sit well below deck like the stockers

there's info here (http://www.bstockum.com/turboblock.html)

says they are .300" below deck (stock or aftermarket ski ramp style) which should be down .100" more than the NA version according to the link

The Dished Wiseco's sit less than .030" below deck(8.8:1 CR), other aftermarket dished should be similar

Ok, one more, can anyone measure the center of the wrist pin to the top of the piston, aftermarket forged please-not the ski ramp pistons in the link! :D

If you want to make the most power keep piston to head clearance between .040 to .050.
