Well I was trying for 12's on the stock turbo, reached a best of 13.14@104.1, until the turbo went.
Now I am running a T3/T4 50 trim stage 2. Went to the track thinking 12's would be easy:D . Not, this turbo is a totally different animal.

With the stock Garrett, I would get a great launch usually 1.9 60' and 8.4's in the 1/8.
With the T3T4 (at first) I would bog the launch, or couldn't keep the turbo spooled, and had a difficult time getting into second gear tonight. 60' were all over from 2.2-2.4, and 1/8 was 9.3-10.5:( . On a different car I have run a t3t4 50 stg 1, and it would launch similar to a stock.

Now by the end of the evening I was down to 13.08@106.1, before I had transmission troubles:(

Anyways with the stock turbo I could run pretty much the same times and mph though my exhaust 2 1/2 mandrel bullet muffler, or with the cut out open.

T3T4 at the end of the evening when I finally open up the cut out, and launched with a little higher rpm, I finally got a decent launch 1.9 60 and 8.4 1/8. Through exhaust I had issues launching it.

87 Shadow es converted to T-II- slicks,93 pump, Devils alky, 20-22# max boost 3 bar, 255 lpm, +40's Matt's (mw6886) chip.

I know this turbo should be more capable, as I have read from others results. Hopefully it will be for me as I expected more initially, but know I will have to work on it.

Your trapping some serious MPH, I would say traction but the slicks and your 60 ft times don't show it. Probably like me, just need some fine tuning but good times anyhow, :amen:

I would agree with Simon that you probably just need to get it dialed in just right. When I switched from a T2 .63 housing turbo to a FM E2 turbo on my shadow, it was definatly much different in that there was a lot more lag, but up top it would pull like nothing else, and I know the car is a lot quicker with it on there.

what kind of intercooler are you running. I noticed a big HP increase from a hybrid going to a higher flow intercooler. It takes tuning to make a hybrid come alive. It's also hard to beat the stock stuff in the low to mid rpm ranges. Don't expect a ton of added power in that area. But from 4500rpm up is where a larger than stock turbo can make the most improvement.

Hopefully I can get it dialed in, I think it will be just a matter of time, but I am going to stick with it:) .

I am running a front mount xs power intercooler, looks like the spearco FWD sells. and full 2 1/2" piping.

Might try again this Friday for 12's:D

Here's some food for thought:

When I was running a stock turbo I ran as fast as 8.17 at 85 MPH (1/8 mile). Going to a Super 60 I went 7.90's at 87 MPH. Going from 2-1/2 to 3" exhaust got me 2 tenths and 3 MPH faster. Going to a 50 trim T3/T4 Stage 2 (like yours) I gained 4 more MPH and have gone as quick as 7.50, all the time with 20 pounds of boost. Since then I replaced a leaky intercooler with a good one (same kind) and done a best of 7.41 at just under 96 MPH.

Get a 3" exhaust on that thing and hang on!:thumb:

I see you are using a 5 speed. Is it a 568? Your car with the Super 60 is where I want to be.:thumb: Can't have my 4 cylinder out running my big block.:D

Why not? Sounds political to me;) .
