View Full Version : Performance computer? need confirmation please

I was at the j-yard last month and found an '87 Shelby CSX with a wrecked backside. The valve cover was gone and so was the intake manifold but the car had 2 computers of which I bought one.

Can anyone verify if this is true performance computer?

Judging by the number on it, it's a CSX Stage 2 computer. If you crack it open, there will be a chip with a sticker on it that should match the 641 on the connector. The cal is actually in the repository here, so I hope you didn't pay too much for it because you could have the same ECU with that cal in any 87 T2 LM.

I opened it up and found that 641 sticker you mentioned. I guess this is infact the stage II computer. I paid $15 for it so either way I'm happy with it.

I'd love to go back and get the other computer but that poor car was crushed not long after I picked it :( My brother got a picture of the VIN# on his cell phone so I'll have him e-mail it to me, then we can find out which numbered'87 CSX is gone.
