I bought this intercooler for my project 13 second long wheelbase mini van.

Here's what the ad says:
"Good for up to 600 bhp. low pressure drop 0.2psi at 15psi *Strong Bar and plate design allow 80psi high efficient we are very confident on our BAR AND PLATE intercoolers against efficient, reliability, all our intercooler has been tested to withstand more then 80psi pressure and it has very small pressure drop across the end tanks, at 15psi inlet the out let has 14.8psi that means it has only 0.2 psi pressure drop ,compare to many other intercoolers it is an excellent figure (some intercooler has 1-2psi pressure drop) also at the same condition, the temperature has drop from 120 degree to 28 degree ( and it is an excellent figure for efficiency)"

Let's recap - at 15psi inlet the outlet has 14.8 (.2psi drop), and at the same boost level the inlet temperature was 120*F. and the outlet temperate was 28*F. Though I don't know what the ambient air temp. was, those are still incredibly impressive numbers!

It flows 1,020 CFM's and it measures 24"x12"x3" with 3" inlets and outlets. Sounds like a kick ---, maybe expensive intercooler right? I would've guessed around $300... I was surprised to see it's only $170 including shipping. ;)

I just hope to see some more people run good intercoolers and crank down some good times; normally I'd keep my secret but I want people to go fast and stay out of detonation, so I'll share this all with you.

Sweet!

Never heard of XO2 racing before but El Monte CA is right near one of my accounts so I'll do a drop by next time I'm over there and see what kind of set up they have :eyebrows:

It is cool that core prices have come down enough where any shop with decent TIG welding abilities can turn a proffit and offer low cost I/C's. Ten years ago or so when Spearco was the only game in town, that was a $900. I/C:mad: Gotta love competition in the marketplace:thumb:

The only way you are going to get 28*F coming out of that sucker is if it's f'ing cold out. I think those figures are probably Celcius. Impressive drop though...120 to 30 makes a huge difference in density. You'll be able to squeeze almost 25% more air into the manifold after that temperature drop. Talk about hp increase. It's a good looking IC too...I might have to drop the dime to get one for the charger...and the van :)

Some of you have seen the engine bay on RUBY.
Well S-T-R-E-T-C-H 's engine bay is WAY cleaner.
All I can say is you will see come April.

There are some killer deals on intercoolers on Ebay, if you know what you are looking for. I scored this baby for $140, out the door! Its going in my van as well, should be a significant improvement over the supra unit I am running now.

Core Size: 26" long x 12" high x 4" thick.

^^^ Wow. That's a big intercooler.

Ralph, STRETCH is going to be disgustingly clean and perfect-- inside. Outside the paint is peeling and fading and it looks ugly! I like it that way though, it's going to be bad-a$$ to get laughed at mighty hard then rape them.

Yes I'm ----y.

My van looks like death warmed over as well, but it makes it that much more fun when you smoke them!

Looks good, the only thing that concerns me is the ad for both the 3" and 4" thick models is identical, which would not quite be the case if they were both actually tested. Other than that I'm sure it will get the job done!

Oh, and yes, that nurse looks hot!

I think the car looks good. I wouldnt have put that wing on it. I'd rather one that has the same color as the body. SRT-4 wing or supra wing or something if you were wanting to go that high.

maybe those wings are somewhat functional.. I dont know.

oooh baby. I retract my previous statement about the rice if you're talking 406WHP  If you got the balls to back it up, you go right ahead and put whatever the hell you want on it! lol

Can we maybe get some engine shots on it? I want to see how you plumbed it up?

One last thing, just noticed the fog lights, are those Marcel covers?

That plumbing looks mighty close to that alternator... I'd be concerned about that, that's why I'm trying to find ideas for plumbing.

For the van I'm thinking of just wrapping the outlet under the intercooler and back up towards the throttle body.

A van's a van, but I'm sure a pic wouldn't hurt for judgement purposes, it might fit where you have yours ran, just want to be sure.

Hey Dave, I like your engine bay. Very clean and detailed. The plumbing in my car is pretty ridgid, It may look close but there's enough space. Its been tested at the road course, 6 sessions of 20 minutes each of high boost and hard acceleration and hard braking and cornering? I think is more than enough.

I have the same on my rampage and it is great its a little hard to get all the piping in the front of a rampage but it fits now.
