A friend of mine has a 1990 3.9 Dakota. He wants to use it on his private property as a plow truck, but the fuel tank, the hanger area is badly rusted. He wants to simply put a cell in the bed, and an external fuel pump.

Any suggestions for a cheap suitable pump? Something with clamp on hose barbs would be ideal.

Thanks,

Mike

Walbro has inline pumps, I used one on a friends backyard 4x4, we used a Jerry can for the fuel tank.

Harbour freight? Jegs, Summit, you need 15 psi so anything that will operate around that range is fine, :thumb:

mr gasket has a cheapo inline fuel pump, but it typically doesnt last long, ones ive sold at work(parts store) some come back, but some farmers swear by them, so maybe there are just some bad examples out there.

Airtex also makes universal fuel pumps, for tbi, MPFI and carb, find a place that sells them and go though there book it lists what psi they run and what style pump they are, rollervain or something else cant recall.

good luck
