I have a feeling, if I say I'm not going, Mark will come steal my car. Then I'm sure it would be found awaiting me to find it at LVD.

Got there a few mins after 8 and the gates were closed. I waited around for a half hour while Dempsy and Dave showed up. It was dry the whole time I was sitting there and as I was getting back close to home there was patches of sun. Great forcasting guys(at LVD).

Hu... They probally cancelled it because it was a tt day and the money they would make compared to track prep was not profitable. I have heard many opinions on how the LVD's new management is running the track into the ground.:( Now a week or so before at the Hemmings show it rained that morning on my way up, and the forcast was for rain, but I raced all day:evil: .
LVD took the chance for the money..

I'd bet the turnout today would have been decent to good had they not called it.

I doubt I goto NED, they are still on my $hit list from the "Our jet dryer broke this morning" incident on their Mopar day last year.

Since the Import deal at NED is a 2pm start I think I will ride up. Every other track around has a big event going on and I don't have to miss any work to get some sleep Friday night.

Not to mention you have one of the cleanest cars out there already!

I know what you mean. I'm not going either due to not being able to fix whatever will break (cause it will) before Carlisle. I want to bring my Omni there this year. The Dart is great but not very fast (at least not yet)

"........I'm not going either due to not being able to fix whatever will break ..."

my thinking is same, figured all the rain was sorta sending a message, "dont race before carlisle..."

and Bill has re-scheduled this event for Saturday Sept. 23 at LVD.

if it rains on carlisle this year i am selling my car.

good luck today Joe, get that 10 second pass, and a good video.

Turbo Joe

as my usuall luck goes, not a good day. got 1 test run in. my car had problems preventing good runs , so far the problem is traced down to an injector stuck open. 82lb injector stuck open will hydrolic a cylinder very fast. I have alot of extra oil in my crank case now, mmm guess what that is. well anyway i was on a pro tree ( .400) and cut a slow .669 pulled a 1.90 60' and ran a 13.00 at 113mph. So basically my suspension is working better now and thats about it. More updates to come as turbocolt was on a mission and did good! kelly did good but had some small issue's as well.

glad you were able to finally get some action. so did anyone take pix/videos?

and on a funny note it rained in my town basically on and off all day until around 6 pm so i would not have been able to load up the car anyways....that makes 8 Saturdays in a row it has rained.

maybe we can meet at LVD in early/mid July????

Turbo Joe
06-18-2006, 11:48 PM
well it's my ecu! injector "b" curciut is stuck full bore on! i need to send it back, sorry i didn't get any pix this time or vids. i think kelly had a camera?
not sure about it.

You are making me depressed:(

I left about 10:45 am and it was raining. I got almost an hour down the road thinking if I was going to regret making this trip. About when I hit the MA boarder it stopped and didnt show its face again.

The crowd was as expected but the place wasn't packed like it was the last few times I went to the Import events at NED. I decided to take the chance with the late start since I didn't have to miss any work to get some sleep the night before (I work 2nd shift). They have another one on July 15th I'm thinking about going to. Same deal, gates at 2pm, racing at 3. If you ran the Test n Tune you could have basically got as many runs as you wanted. Especially after all the brackets were done ~9.

I didn't end up taking any pics. Though Joe's car is one hot ride with a lot of detail. And Tony (turbocolt2.4 on TD) with his all mopar 72 Colt. Built 2.4, 8-3/4 rear and even had his slicks mounted on Rallye wheels.
