How can it be that my speedo-gauge, rpm gauge...do not work? What could it be. it their a ground, bad sensor?

well it fixed mine. contact cleaner is becoming such a good friend.

Speedo could be a broken gear, either in the trans or in the cluster.

Assuming the car in question is the '88 LeBaron in your sig, it's an electric speedometer. It's possible that whatever drives the needle itself is broken, but with the tach out as well, I'm guessing it's the soldered joint issue. If the gear in the trans is worn/broken/stuck, you should have a code 15 for a speed sensor issue.

No codes. is their any way i can test the speedo? rpm? while its out?

If it ins't a really tight connection the dielectric grease could be hampering your connection.

you can check for the tach signal with a multimeter I would imagine, should be the gray/black wire.
