I looked at ebay and others. I was wondering if anyone here installed some.
I bought some from Perfect-fit for my GLHS and it was fine.
Seems like the flat floor of the van would be easier.

On both of the 2 gen vans I had, I replaced the carpet with standard carpet from a carpet store. It's flat enough and there are no "humps" that would require pre-formed carpet. :thumb:

Interesting thought...sure would be a lot cheaper to buy that way.

I did the carpet in my 79 B-van using outdoor/covered deck rated stuff from Lowes. Little limited in the colors but it was cheap and holds up very well.

Absolutely. My father owns a carpet store and conveniently had some scraps lying around that fit.

I went to a carpet stroe and found some commercial grade stuff I liked.
The "car" carpet from looking on line was $250 to $380 plus shipping.
I got it for $71

That's great. I was going to say, there are almost no humps in the carpet. When I bought my 89 I removed it to pressure wash the carpet to clean it. My neighbor couldn't believe how plain ( no special forming ) that the carpet was.

Take some pictures.

You can get very nice luxury cut pile for that much for automotive automotive. Automotive stuff takes ALOT of abuse. Even more than home carpets, and materials. Big thing to look out for is what materials its made from. Automotive carpets are usually nylon with other synthetic fibers as backings that resist mold.

This is good carpet here, and is priced nicely.

How much of the interior did you need to unscrew to do this??

Its easier, imo, to remove all the rear panels, sill plates ,seats. That way you can get it to fit tighter under the rear panels.

Pull out all the seats, and the plastic trim around the rear seat latches. I had to pull all of the bottom molding off the perimeter of the carpet. It sounds like a worse job than it was. It all comes apart real easy.
