Someone mentioned they would like to see pictures of this head, here ya go.

You are looking at a rare IMSA casting done on the side for Chrysler with a stock part number cast in. It is made from heat treated T6 aluminum with raised cam towers (for use with Chevy valves and springs) smaller water passages around the chamber (to keep the front of the chamber from lifting) and raised ports.

I have only seen two in person, sources state no more than 10 of these Brodix pieces were made. They also state that Chrysler did make other batches at different times with different people and/or in house.

Very cool:eyebrows: Any idea which teams ended up running them, IMSA guys (didn't they run mostly 16V Masi stuff, Showkett etc) drag guys like Varde or?

I would enjoy seeing a side by side looking at the port inlet/outlets with a stock casting.

Thanks for posting those up Gary. I don't think I have seen pics of an unfinished head before.

Cool pics! :thumb: I'm guessing in your collection? :eyebrows: There were a couple different race 'cheater' heads. The Brodix heads had the highest raised ports but they had none of the casting marks on them to look 'stock'. The other raised port heads commonly used as 'cheater' heads, complete with "made in Mexico" and Chrysler logo, were known as 'pink' heads. I know where a couple might be.... :D

I'm with Ondonti. I'd really like to see both JT's head and Gary's next to a stocker. I'd like to see how much we're talking here.

Stock to Brodix... about 1/2 inch.

It does have two casting numbers (for some race class no doubt) but nothing else.
