View Full Version : New idler gears for the TIII. $60 plus shipping

These are from another DOHC engine, I stumbled on these doing a timing belt job. You have to use one or 2 washers to shim it out due the back being recessed but other than that, they are identical. $60 plus shipping and they are made by Koyo.

Just another alternative to brand new Dodge ones.

Edit, I found a supply of counter sunk bolts for the timing belt idler mod, so if you order a pulley, I'll throw a bolt in, :D

I got one of those on my white Spirit R/T, had to use a washer to space it out and everything but I use it in the stock location. Mine didn't come from a DOHC engine though.

You can put it in the stock location if you want, I just did the idler mod on Rob's engine.

Your pulley looks higher quality than the one I found. Kudos on the find.

Thanks, Koyo is probably the best bearings out there, most of the OE timing belt pulleys are made by them. Its of a very expensive car, lol.

Either way, this is an option, I always have access to them if people want, I can supply, :amen:

I got those FHSCSs from Fastenal for like 8 cents each BTW....

I paid $2 for 6, I almost passed out, :faint:

Its not so much the price, its trying to find them.

BTW, got the countersunk bolt in easily on that engine WITHOUT removing the belt, :eyebrows:
