Sync 1-2 hub breakage 568

Will a 523(1991) synchronizer 1-2 hub work in a 568 (1990)..?

Its possible, some had a one piece setup, others had a 3 piece setup, the only way will be to compare the 2 parts.

Yes. The hub will work fine. A 523's, 568's and 89' 555's used three piece 1/2 synchro assemblies. The slider should be different though, as well as the shift forks. 90 used it's own shift pads vs 91+.

Okay, Ive got a spare 523 thats about to become a organ donor then...Thx for the replies, this info will get it fixed that much sooner.
