Before I got sucked into the turbo fwd mopars I had a few old school ones.

http://www.boostbarn.com/files/63plymouthweb.jpg

The 63 Savoy was my first car it had the 225 slant six, 3spd column shift. Manual everything. I really miss that car, it would have a big block now had I kept it.

http://www.boostbarn.com/files/roach2.jpg

I traded the Savoy on this 73 Roadrunner, it was a 340 4spd car and ran nice, was originally F8 green but got repainted Plum Crazy sometime in the 80's. It had a black vinyl bench seat interior and a pistol grip shifter. I had the usual work done to it, headers, intake, cam, holley carb etc.. It would run in the 13's at the track, not too bad for a big car with a little motor.

You really should have kept that one. I kick myself for passing on a 100% rust free '63 Dart with a /6 and pushbutton TF tranny. :(

69 Dart Swinger was my first car ever/ I'd love to tell you about the 340/4spd it had but it was a 225/auto:( It actually got towed away and the impound fees built up while I was on vacation for a couple weeks, then i couldn't afford to get it out of hawk because I had a new daily driver. Man was I a fool...

gosh that sucks! I wish I could've lived back then to say I've at least owned one. The oldest mopar I drove was my grandfather's 82 Ramvan....I miss that van too. I always liked the dog dish hub caps. Wonder how they would look on a daytona?

EDIT: I'm 19 years old btw....so yeah my daytona is just a year younger than myself if that

Lol, lived back then wasn't that long ago..

I drove the Savoy from 92-94 and had the Roachrunner from 94-02.

Kevin, your right on I should have kept the Savoy. I was 18 when I traded it thinking the Roadrunner would get me more tail. At the time purple paint, glasspacks, air shocks, and fat Mickey Thompson's just seemed like the right decision...

Nice cars!

I too had an old Mopar.
Sold it when I was in the Navy stationed in Japan.
Would be worth 3X's what I sold it for!

All I want in the world is:

A 63/64/65 Savoy / Belvedere / Fury.... :thumb:

I *LOVE* old B bodys, the Plymouths were just better looking than the same era Dodges.

I about pooped my pants Saturday morning, me & RacinNathan were out at our favorite junkyard on a scouting mission, ran across a compete and intact 65 Belvedere II, solid with a 318/727!!!

BUT, it is a 4 door - if it were a 2 door it would be MINE!!! :thumb:

Had a '69 318 motored charger in high school, ('78-'79) Was my parents daily from new sooooo, she got really rusty, I drove it till there was nothin' left. My favorite local car is a buddies '64 savoy wagon that has a 426 wedge in it. I'd give my only kidney for it.

Hey Tracy, buy it for parts and I'll put you on the trail of a '65 Belvedere II 2 door hardtop you can fix with it. Same guy that has the '65 has a '63 Savoy 2 door hardtop and a '64 Dodge Polara 2 door hardtop, all are kinda rough though but could be fixed if someone had the parts.

Wagons done up like their muscle car brothers are cool. I've always wanted to do a 1970 Satellite wagon up as a Roadrunner with the fake scoops in the rear doors and all. Now, I suddenly want to do a 1967 GTX wagon.

I know how some of you feel. my first car was a 72 Dodge Challenger Ralleye
b5 blue with black interior 340 4 spd. car. for the first 2 year I had it I was pulled over more times than I can remember. all because I looked to young to own a car like that or they would say" does your dad know you have his car"
anyway sold it in 92 and bought my 88 Shelby Daytona. but every once in a while I do miss the dual exhaust rumble and pulling on the pistol grip.

My first car was an 85 Shelby Charger. I was 15 and got pulled over without proper plates or insurance. I couldnt wait to drive it! Needless to say dad made me sell it. Later on the first car I actually got to drive was a 72 Dodge monaco 4 door post car. Talk about a tank. I loved the way that thing would cruise down the interstate at 75-80 and the wind wouldnt even phase it. Its for sale now for 400.00. Anyone? Since then Ive had about 7 different mopars. I dig the ole cordoba:thumb: Our family car back in the late 80's early 90's was an 81 with a 360 out of a 71 pickup. Freshened up after my mom overheated it my dad used forged TRW slugs and left everything stock and it would move for what it was. The lockup converter and a/c even worked for a while.

I dropped a load in my pants for that Max Wedge. Also a fan of the '69 cuda and the belvedere drag cars. I have a '67 'cuda I will eventually do something with it. Big block or turboed small block...not sure yet. Just may go with the big block 440 since I have all the parts. Unfortunately... the 440/727 and sure grip all came from this car that brings a tear to my eye wheneer I think about it. My '68 Chrysler 300 440TNT car. Mean arse grandma's car from hell. Won't let me load the other pic of the '68 I have..so I felt like posting 2 of my r/t I have instorage. Sitting and waiting for me to do something with it.

I don't have any pix handy... but I'll try to scan them...

I had a 67 Monaco 500 sport coupe (same body as the 300 ^) was a 426 car that "didn't run fast enough" for the cop that bought it new, so he had some sort of 440 built up in it... All I know is that it would run mid 12's on street tires... that car was 2 door plushie on the outside, and cop car underneath (orig owner was detective, and back in the day they ordered their personal cars as police... sick, sick sick... "it's got cop brakes, cop suspension..." you know the rest) Not a good car for a 16 year old to have... had a lot of fun with that car... we *did* wait to get off the dealer's lot before we put the spark plug wires back on right... even with them crossed it could still make enough horsepower to break traction (!)

Anyway, here's the rest of the list:

67 Monaco 500 Sport Coupe
69 SuperBee 383 auto (with factory console delete... bought it thinking it was . "just a Coronet" ... it had no (and I mean NO) markings on it)
63 (64) Chrysler 300K (was titled as 63, was an early 64)
73 Dodge Charger SE (400 2bbl / 727 car )
81 Dodge P/U
77 Dodge Monaco (midsize) wife's creampuff, rip from crazy lady running light
69 Dart Swinger 318 auto

This doesn't include family cars... these were all mine... most were in the twilight when I got them, some I fixed up, most I just drove...
