Are all the factory 2.2/2.5 trans dust shields that go between the block and bellhousing the same? I'm trying to scrounge up a few sets for some motors I'm building and I'm not sure what the 'right' ones look like. I can't remember if there are different ones for different years, MTX or ATX, common block or non-CB...For what it's worth the motors I'm building are all common block with manual trans.

I reused mine on the 5 speed swap on my v6. I would think they would all be the same, sine the bolt pattern is the same, nad you can swap any block whit any trans

Yeah I don't see why they would be any different, although I could have swore I had an oddball set long ago. I'm not sure if it came from an auto or what. I'll try to post a pic of a set of shields I want to use if I can find them.

I think the MTX and ATX ones are slightly different, but can be interchanged. Could be wrong though.

I've found them all to be pretty much the same. This is from parting cars built between 84-93, ATX, and MTX.

There all the same p/n for 2.2/2.5 applications.

I need a set or two myself but if there still available I was going to just get new ones. around $30 for the set last I checked.

One is different for sure, TC Masi with the 284 5 spd trans will not interchange when swapping to a 523/568. Couple bolt holes are just a bit off:mad: Prolly could oval them out some and make it work but it seemed to be less work just to swap the tin out so that's what I did.

Heck I'll probably just do that if they are still out there. Most of the time I just assume everything is NS1 at this point. I haven't been going to the local dealership lately to check on stuff because the parts lady working there has a hard time finding stuff and told me to go to Year One to buy window regulators for my Lancer.:banghead:

Do you have a part number for the shields? I thought I had a set floating around in my garage somewhere but I can't find them. Hopefully they just stamped the # on the part.
