Has anyone got any idea what good looking wheels can be used from another vehicle, preferably aluminum, but don't have to be as long as they're well vented?

Pizza's look really good, but I like the 16 inch GTC wheels, I am using those and P225/55R16 tires. I will post a pic when I get back from hockey.

The lace wheels are quite heavy though. Simons crabs (hehehe) don't look to bad when he has his slicks on.

I don't like crabs, :p

The GTC wheels are actually just as heavy as the Pizza wheels, or so it seems.

Would be interesting to compare. The GTC wheels are 16" though, so that might make a difference in why I think they're heavier.

I would think the GTC wheels vent better than crabs though.

Personally, I don't know what they're called, but I love the Plymouth "Sunflower" rims that came on some Voyagers and Sundances.

There called "Snowflakes" and yes, they look good also.

you know what I liked....sounds kind of weird, and if your looking for good air flow than forget it...but we had an 89 caravan LE with the 3.0 engine in there....it had those spoked hubcaps with the large black center that said "dodge" on them....they are fairly uncommon, but I kind of like them

I've got a set of 16" lace wheels off an 89 Lebaron GTC on my van, I think they look a lot better than the old 14" steelies and hubcaps it came with.

Yeah, I guess I just like the dodge spoked hubcaps on the minivan since thats what I grew up with and I always loved that van....on any other car, rims over hub caps any day :D

O.K these are all wheels from minivans or Chrysler cars. Has anyone used something completely different? I'm really not crazy about any of the wheels shown.

Its a common 5x100 wheel pattern, GM wheels fit but the offset is wrong. You will just have to find wheels and try them.

I'm gonna be putting my american racing rims from the daytona on the mini eventually....they are the old five spoke wheels that look like ninjas, but they are from the early 90's

Black Crabs with the lip polished if you want OEM. But if you don't like any of the factory wheels, try searching ebay.

Of course, you could always go for plastic spinner hub caps :thumb:

I was thinking about getting these for my minivan:

I need to know what the widest 15" wheel I can fit up front is though. These will be for my ET Streets and some 195 or smaller tires in the rear. These are the wheels I'm on now (not sure what they're called):

Those are the 15" "Lace" wheels. You can use any wheel from the newer FWD small Mopars too. (i.e. Neon, Sebring SEDAN, Cirrus, Stratus SEDAN, PT Cruiser)

The 16" chrome PT Cruiser wheels are sort of similar to the American Racing ones above. I think the 17" "Empire" PT Cruiser wheels would look great on a mini. I also like the 17" Stratus R/T sedan wheels I got from my convertible. They would look good on a van too.

I like the lace on a minivan, see my sig.

195 is toooooo small for a mininvan, looks outta place. You need at least a 205, I am running a 225 and it looks sweet, :amen:

I run 225s on all my FWD non-Neons!

Shelby Lancer --> 225/50-15 Nitto NT450s on the original 15 x 6.5" CSS wheels
LeBaron GT 'vert --> 225/45-17 BFG Comp Sports on the 17 x 7" Stratus R/T Sedan wheels
Spirit R/T --> 225/50-16 Kumho 711 on 16 x 6" Ninja wheels

I want 195's or smaller just for the back. Right now I run 225's up front and 205's in the rear; I would like to go wider in the front and narrower in the back when I get new wheels.

Nope. I wasn't able to go to SDAC last year...and even if I did go, that thing was parked in my parent's driveway not moving.

Well they are not going to be my DD wheels, they will be for racing. More traction up front and less rolling resistance in the rear. I don't think it will look too bad.

*Edit I'm only running 215's up front right now. Anyone know how wide the stock 15" lace wheels are?

Mario

yes, definitely 6" wide. Almost all the factory TM wheels are. Exception: The Daytona crabs are 6.5". The others are Shelby installed wheels. (Centurians, CSS, LeMans)

You buy my old charger wheels.
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/3/web/339000-339999/339160_185_full.jpg

The wheels are 15 x 7 borbet design H I got all the center caps for them also.
I got a pair of 225 50 15 for the front mounted on them right now with a matching 205 50 15 for rear that I can mount on them. Both size tires are the same bfg's comp t/a with thread wear of 220. Shoot me an offer on all or some of it if you want.

back from the dead! I am having a fitment problem with my 16in PT wheels on the mini and I am thinking about switched to pumpers. Do they fit a mini properly? over the hubs and such? Anyone have any other pics of minis with pumpers? 225/55/16 fit?

I really like the PT wheels though. The hubs on the rear are just to tight and the spindle sets against the center cap...its starting to cut in. I had to remove the dust caps to get the wheels on.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c133/TurboOmni08/DSC00645Medium.jpg

Also, if I do pumpers. Do you guys think they should be black? I'm trying to decide what color to do the wheels and what color to do the grill. Here is a photoshop of the grill in black...I'm leaning toward this....

The 16 inch wheels on the Z-24 cavy, you would have to do something with bowtie in the middle but they are nice.I also think some of the toyota celica wheels will fit,but I cant remember the looks.

If you use factory Dodge wheels for our generation, 225/55R16's will work but other models or later models, not sure due to the difference in offset's.

Where did you get that grill? I have only seen one more like it and its gold on a newer woody wagon full load.
Oh, black looks good.

Simon,
It came from a 90' Town and Country LWB. It was fully loaded with tan leather and the overhead console and such. I was white with the woodgrain.

225s will fit on Pumpers no problem? Thats a wide --- tire for a 6in wide rim...that will look sweet!

Id say a set of 95-99 cavalier Z24 rims. They are five spoke, and have no bowtie on em anywhere. Also maybe a set of 20032005 neon R/T rims, or even SRT4 rims.

Yeah, thats it, the van that is. Mine GTC wheels are only 6". Here are some close up pics-

The Z24 wheels look good but the offset is bad, the rim is like a finger from the strut, the max size tire you can run is the 205 series. I tried them on my van before I got the GTC rims. They would work if you bought some spacers.

Its either 90 but for sure 91 and up Lebaron GTC. I paid $200 for all 4 but surf Ebay, you might find something cheaper.
