Hauled the Spirit home today that Karl found for me last week. It has high miles, but the 3.0 runs great and is super quiet...no smoking issues either. The 4 speed tranny (with L/U converter?) seems to shift really well. 70 mph on the highway only pulls 2200 rpm or so.

The floors are above average for this area, very solid. It's missing the driver's side skirt, and there is a big crease on the passenger doors. Fortunately I have a full set of clean doors from a matching red R/T that a local member parted out! The only real rust seems to be the hole by the fuel door. Numerous scratches in the paint, and a scuff on both bumpers. Unfortunately the last owner was apparently a "College girl"...I'd imagine that it was a great looking car before she started using it.

Interior is fair, with spills and stains that appear to be from children. All power accessories work, including the A/C! Overhead console and 2 button Traveler FTW!

Initially I was gearing up to put the 3.0/A604 drivetrain into a Spirit R/T roller, but peer pressure and the fact that this is a pretty decent car has made me decide to fix the power steering issue and find it a new home. We thought the pump was bad, but after looking into it, it may just need the cracked and broken plastic PS pulley replaced.

Sometimes peer pressure is a good thing.

nice tattoo thingy

Hmmm...never thought of them as being tattoos, but I guess the decal on the trunk lid could be a "tramp-stamp" LOL

nice good to know, now what about those cars that have ROXIE in pink on the back? I figured out the fish thing already.

Paul I didn't think you wanted another project so I didn't really bother calling you. That is the same car I found probably a few days before Karl. I still have the dealer's business card. Small Mopar world indeed.

Fixed the power steering pump a few weeks ago, and today replaced the cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Then shod it with some 16" lace wheels from a 91 GTC. I'm really considering using this ES to drive to work (90 mile round trip)...the auto trans would be a huge benefit in stop-and-go construction traffic

The only thing to wait for now is the title...should it really take the State over 2 months to get it delivered? I'm beginning to wonder if the sucker has been lost...

I like the 16" lace wheels on the sedans. I'm so glad my wife won't allow me to buy a tow dolly, lol. I'd have every K based Chrysler following the Durango home.

The car looks great with those wheels. Did you ever get your title? Im curious about any movement on this project..

Oh yeah, and it's had it's original wheels swapped back onto it and has been sold.
