Just was curious on this cus 90 up had an sbec right? if the 90 van had a sbec was it higher power range over the 89 turbo mini?

yea thats what i thought, so as part 2 as i stated above, does the 90 turbo mini have more power output over 89?

ah ok cool. Wonder why they didnt do more for the 90 turbo mini since it shared an sbec like the t3 cars did etc. Could have made it a badass t1 at least lol.

No real performance benefit in going to the SBEC. The change to sequential fuel injection was probably done for emissions and maybe better drivability. The fact that the TIII had an SBEC didn't really have anything to do with it's higher HP...it still would have made same power if it was batch fire FI and used a distributor.

Why? because there was probably no market and they had changed the design in 91 so why spend a crap load of money on a van for one year and most likely no one would buy.

Yep, emissions, driveability, I think it smoothed the idle out a bit but the TIII SBEC is quite unique and is part of the reason why the TIII's run so well and make good power, :thumb:
