nice work, did you have the headliner down? If so you should of added the other 2 cross braces. Then the car would be stiffer, and you'd have 2 more spots to hold up the headliner so it won't fall down over the years.

much easier/lighter mod is to bond 1/8th inch thick aircraft plywood to the top of the backing board to increase the stiffness of the board. i did this to my omni, the board will never sag again.

I don't know, the braces are pretty light, and meant to be there but looks to be pulled due to bean counters, add CHASSIS stiffness and make the car sound like a Mercedes when closing the door instead of a tin can. And if the headliner is down they bolt right up with stock bolts and some radiator fan clips to hold them in. Doesn't get much easier than that IMO
