strange shifter part

looking for a peice to my shifter, i have a 87 sundance its cable shift, its a small plastic T that contect the shift lever to the main cable im located in rochester ny and am in desperate need of this peice if neone knows where to find it or has one please please please contact me !!! this small peice is the only thing keeping me from driving my car

Be carefull, I've seen two different styles of 5spd shifters in 87 P body cars.

Yeah I think it was the switch over year, going from the old 525 shifter to the newer 520/555 shifter. Either shifter works on either tranny I think, provided you have all associated hardware.

Very true lol. But since he says his has the bellcrank, it must be the old style, which is what I have :thumb: I could be wrong though, I think the newer ones have a bellcrank also, but I've never seen one of them break, whereas I have seen the older ones break. Maybe he should post a pic of his, to be sure.
