I have decided to go back into the cylinder head market once again. I have been doing some work on the side since my "retirement", but the time has come to get fully involved again. I will continue to sell parts as I had done before, I will also be expanding my offerings as far as 16V work and related parts. Anyone interested can reach me here or call me at 717-226-3814

I have seen and tested work from most all TM head porters, and I will say that Steve's work is top notch. He does *know* exactly what he is doing.

I am biting my lip on most others I have tested, though ;)

Gang,

All of you waiting for valves or heads to be completed, we will have a two to three week delay in getting replacement valves sent back to me. They weren't made to specification and I cannot accept anything less than what I ask for. We've been able to work around some minor issues in the past, I will not any longer. My apologies for the delay, I want to insure you the best product I can deliver.

Steve,
If the stems are still undersized a bit, I had a batch of manganese bronze guides with stop made to address this. They require honing even with the slightly undersized stem. Call me if you need any. No reason to discard them if that is the only issue.

Some Updates:

I'm at the mercy of the machine shop as we speak. A few of you guys waiting for heads to be returned will be getting them as soon as I get them back, blend them, clean & assemble. Anyone interested in getting one done, 16V or 8V, please contact me via PM or call.

I've been wanting to let you guys know what the 16V Neon heads flow stock for some time now. My internet access being what it is keeps me from doing all I want, when I want. The 16V heads go 208 stock as Brian and I flowed one along with one I modified. The peak number of 208 was at .350" valve lift. We've seen ported heads at all kinds of numbers, we've been at 260/270 at .350". We hadn't done exhaust in the stock form, but the ported stuff is going over 200 @ .350". Brian and I learned some interesting things about these headswhile doing the flow work. Thanks again for your time Brian!

Anyone that needs valves gear, please don't hesitate to contact me as I have been building a small inventory at my garage and Manley has been back on a normal schedule to produce valves. I also have spring/retainer packages for the SRT4.

By the way, I needed to send a public update and apology to those waiting for parts and heads. I had been putting off knee surgery hoping my machinist would get the work done I had taken to him over 3 months ago. Well, on August 28, I couldn't wait any longer. The knee got scoped out. I spare you those details. Following that I caught some flu bug that just kicked my butt. I plan on getting back at it this weekend. So thatnks for your patience and understanding. I'll be absorbing all the shipping costs as a result. It is the least I can do.

On a different front, I have an opportunity to do some work for a company that is R&D on the 5.7 heads. These heads are pretty decent out of the box and I have a 23 cfm improvement on them with the stock valve job and valves. The cfm improvement is almost equal on intake and exhaust. I hope this pans out!

Everyone, here is an update on what happened with the Hemi heads and others. First a little background on the Hemi stuff. One of our own (well he was one of the early ones), AJ, had asked me to do development work on the '05 - 08 5.7. The completed work was taken by me to Arrington Performance where I spent a few days testing their stuff to my stuff, 6.1 heads from various suppliers, etc. First class place where I met a lot of cool people and saw a lot of cool things. I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, so I must leave it at that. The summary of the whole deal was a potential job, but the Pews.pulled me aside at a race a month later and said they wanted to hire me, but had to add an engineer and there was no more wiggle room in their budget. He said he did not want to bring me on board and have to let me go in three months or so. I appreciated that immensely! I ended up picking up 35cfm on the intake side and 34 on the exhaust side. The ports were smaller than others too. I was pleased with what came out of them with stock valves. Larger valves were even better. I plan to step out on my own with these soon, once a few more details are worked out. I have also continued work on 8v and 16v offerings. Pictures are in members gallery. I ask if anyone has interest in any of these, feel free to send a PM or call.

Steve hopefully we can catch up some time. Have you worked on the 6.1 heads yet? Seems most of the guys swap out the 5.7 heads, you can find them pretty cheap. 6.1 heads are like gold though... Or a lotus or masi head, ha... Any way, I'll probably look for some spare heads and you can work on them.

You're welcome. Please tell Joy hello also. I had a hard time being here vs. SDAC. I was sending messages to some of the gang asking various questions throughout.

I learned a ton about both of them Gary. We'll have to chat about them both sometime. I have all the data. The potential in the 5.7 is pretty amazing. Then again, it is all about the money one wants to invest.
