Changing out motor in 2004 Ram 1500 from V6 3.7L to a 2005 5.7L Hemi. Do I need to change out the ecu or just have it flashed for best results.

Welcome to the forum.
Wow, I didnt know you could get a 3.7L in a '04 Ram... you probably could swap the ECU or flash it. Did you already re-wire the whole engine harness?

I'm not too familiar with engine swaps on the newer trucks, but historically the ECU's have been very different from a V6 to a V8, hardware like injector drivers etc. So my guess is that an ECU swap will be needed.
Moved this to the section for question on non-turbocharged Mopar products.

I second that thought.

Those set ups are very different. You will need engine bay harness, Exhaust, Computer and some other things which I dont remember. A friend of mine actually put one in an old Ram Charger.
