Well its that time to make the R/T presentable. I hope to have one of the nicest R/T's out there. It will look as it did when it rolled off the assembly line back in '91.

I bought the car in 10/07 with 59k on it. It sat untouched for 10 years. It was totally original with the exception of a 90's stereo system. Over the last two years I've done a ton of work to it to make it perfect. Including,
New tires
shocks/struts
brakes/rotors
master cylinder
booster
all new brake lines/hoses
fuel tank
fuel pump/sender
fuel lines/rail/regulator
NOS radiator/intercooler/condersor/fan
timing belt
water pump
rockers/lifters
compressor
h-valve/drier
and various other items, too many to remember.

Here are some before pics

Took a look at it yesterday, its coming along nicely. They stripped the whole body to steel and primed most of it. Should be the nicest R/T out there.

Sent the wheels out to be refinished. The pink/corroded look isnt working anymore. Hopefully they will be nice.

When you get them back make sure to have the tire place use tape weights so they don't corrode under the weight again. Don't let them tell you that the coated weights won't corrode either. They will eventually.

Thanks, The body shop layed down a flawless paint job. Sides are dead staight and not a hint of orange peel. I've also used all new mopar parts. All new lights and trim, even a new antenae base. Its truely perfect.

what did you do for the body molding? found new or refinished the old? if you refinished the old stuff how do you do it?

I was wondering the same thing? The paint job turned out great! Looks good.

The body shop I used did a very nice job on the moulding. I first stipped the old plastic covering off, then they lightly filled the seam between the black upper and red lower, to soften the transition. Painted them the red/orange I wanted then going back to paint the upper black. I'll find a close up of the trim. Right now I cant load any more pics. As far as the door mouldings they were too nice to touch. I gave them a light polish with 'plastx' for headlamps. The body shop said the could do the same paint tecnique with these also. thanks for the compliments
