Need 2.5" muffler & question answered

My car is an 86 Turbo Z .I am setting up a full 2.5" exhaust ... I already have the 2.5" SV, DP & cat. I will be getting the rest of the piping soon. Question is...Do I still have to get a stock looking round muffler or can I go with an oval one? Would oval look bad & would I have to modify anything going with oval? I know stock mufflers for this car are those big round ones.
looking for magnaflow or dynomax mufflers . something not too quiet & something not to loud . Any info & model #'s would be appreciated. :D:):thumb:

There is no law about the shape of your muffler.:thumb:

x1 ^^ Get whatever you want, shape makes no difference. You can't really see it on these cars anyway, unless you position it for that purpose.

I just installed a 2.5" oval turbo muffler on my 89 Spirit with no modifications other than scratch building the pipe going over the axle. The muffler itself fit pretty well in the stock location.
