I haven't see any but I would have to say they aren't neccessary unless you just want it for looks.

I want it to save the plastic sideskirts. I am planning for 3" side exit exhaust.

Not to incriminate myself on my ghettoness, but I had 3" exhaust dumping out the side using only plastic zip ties to hold it in place. I don't think there will be a lot of heat that can damage the skirts, but I can see how you'd want to be as cautionary as possible.

the only time mine burnt was while i was welding the tip on, the other setup i kept it aluminized tubing, and it never burnt

I had a 3" exhaust exiting under the GLH side skirts on my Horizon for years with no issues. I think Reeves is set up that way too.

If you look up heat shields, all there you see is CF.

Yeah. I was looking to tin/aluminum/stainless shields, but CF is the new ricer fad and everyone seems to be moving that way. :boo:

wrap the pipe with header wrap in that area.
it will only melt the skirt if it:
1. touches it for an extended period of time
2. the exhaust blows directly on it.
