Need to replace the fuel pump in the 89 caravan and I want to jump across the relay connector to pump the tank dry.

Can anyone tell me which color wires to use at the relay connector?

Thanks,
Guy

I'm not looking at the relay right now but all relays operate the same

if you pull the relay you'll see all the pins facing one direction except for one
that is the one heading to your elec. componet (fuel pump) the one across from that one is the source for the power (4-pin will be normally open across from it, if it's a 5-pin the one in the middle is the source for a normally closed relay) the other 2 pins to the sides are your switching for relay on/off (some use power +, some use power - to ground)

so basically if your just running/testing the pump, pull the relay, get a set of heavy jumpers and jum the odd ball pin to the one across from it and you'll be good :thumb:
