Looking for some help to see what it would take to get a swap done.
Heres the basics. 1989 Dodge Caravan turbo, auto. Blown 2.5 engine. Seller would include running 2.2 out of a Lancer. It has a "garrett blow thru" turbo and log manifold. How difficult is this swap? I'm still new to the whole 4-cylinder mopar thing.
Do the 2.2 and 2.5 use the same sensors and locations of all the accessories?
What things would it be wise to replace while the motor is on the stand? Cam seal, timing belt, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket? What else?
How difficult would it be to swap a 2.4L in?
Any help is appreciated because this is all new to me. Thanks
