Bottom end are forged pistons (We are trying to decide which make... prolly Venolias with .927 wrist pins 8.5:1 compression) and all other items SRT 4 parts.

I have a mexican manifold that I am going to port match, and a nice new Holset HY35 turbo. It is supposed to be 70% exhaust flow so 220CFM, should spool the big holset okay.

Now I need to sell my 1991 S10 blazer, and the honda accord I am getting to afford the megasquirt&Spark and other odds and ends I need. :)

Yeah, but you're beating me to MY ideas of a few years ago. 2.0 16v hybrid w/ solid lifter cam, etc!

I should have done alot of things that I thought of that did actually materialize... buying up domains before the big internet boom like pepsi and coca cola, etc.. Internet sales exchange. Kinda like the middle man between ebay or online sellers and paypal. My Jewish friend who was always looking for new ideas or backing a fast buck with no initial investment (always bites him in the arse afterwards) was so pissed when he saw chocolate covered pretzels on the market. says it was his idea and should have made millions from it (hehe..yeah right)

Back to TM.com. I can't even build my 2.5 8v T3/T4 because I spend so much of my spare time here and on other forums!!!!

No kidding, amen brother, :amen:

Well, I get work done, but it takes longer as I work for an hour, surf for 1/2 hour, and so on and so on, :eyebrows:

I'll get pics of it up when it gets here. I don't have the extra cash to get it first, and take side by sides. I'm sending out the core with the money :) OOOh yeah.

What kind of cam are you going to run?

Stock cam to start out with. That's all I can afford right now. Possibly a 2.0/2.4 cam combination as some of the other guys have soon thereafter.

But isn't the stock lift about .350
Do they even make a cam to utilize the 315 CFM@.600 lift?
What is the biggest (highest lift) cam available?

Frank
05-31-2006, 04:15 PM
You can utilize more then .350, but the key is that it proves that it can flow well as a turbo car.... no flat lines in flow, etc.

Frank, I understand what you are saying. For instance, Steve M flowed his heads at .500 and at .430
Do you think one of his heads would have flowed an incredible number at .600
which NO cam is available?
Or is it that we are looking at a .600 flow to show that it can flow a volume of air since it is for a forced induction car? Is that what you are saying?

I also know that the INDY head flows so well that even on a relatively stock SRT-4 it makes a lot of power (Stock Turbo)
And YES I would also like one on my SRT-4.
Also since I'm into Small Block Chevy's, the indy head flows as well as the best heads for the SBC.

A little bit of both. Its a good indication mainly that they know what they are doing and that the head will do well. What they are showing by listing .6" of lift is that there is no plateu to worry about in flow. The real number that could effect picking a head for the turbo community is how the curve looks when you flow at say 40" of vaccum which induces higher velocities.

Well for a time frame. The core shipped out UPS today. It should arrive at INDY on the 15th. On the phone, they said a 1 week turn around time.

Is this a street car or pretty much just a track/weekend car? I'm curious to it's street manners with those ports.

It will be more of a track/weekend car. So street manners don't mean that much to me. :thumb:
