my lancer has a mildew smell in the interior, i guess its been wet on the inside. I have a carpet cleaner, any ideas what i can use to get rid of the smell ???

The only way is to get new carpet. Also get new jute padding, that really likes to soak up water.

take the carpet out and power wash it

If the car has carpet that is really dirty or has a bad odor but otherwise in good condition try this. Remove the carpet and take it to a laundromat that has the oversize washers for rugs. A few bucks and make sure your carpet is completely dry before putting it back in.

Good as new.

Usuallly though 20 year old carpet would need replaced to look good as new.
